The Decatur Business Association hosts its annual welcome reception for the incoming class of 2014 at Agnes Scott College on Saturday, August 21 from 1-3 pm on the front lawn of the campus.
This event is a highlight of orientation weekend and both students and parents participate. It offers DBA members a chance to showcase their specialties while welcoming these new students. The event is a marketing opportunity for you and we invite you to participate by setting up a display table, giving away discount coupons, etc. We ask that you do not offer items for sale.
We will also give away five or six sampler baskets during the event. These baskets are filled with items from your business and may include gift certificates, t-shirts, umbrellas, pencils, notepads, etc. If you would like to contribute to the baskets, please send your items to the Decatur Downtown Development office located in Decatur City Hall, 509 North McDonough St. by Wednesday, August 12.
If you would like to set up a display at the event, you must reserve a table by Friday, August 13 as well. To reserve your space call Cheryl Burnette at 678-553-6573, fax the enclosed reservation form to 404-371-1593, mail to Cheryl Burnette, PO Box 220, Decatur GA 30031, or email to cheryl.burnette@decaturga.com. There is no charge to participate.
If you cannot attend the event but would like for your brochures to be distributed, please deliver them to the Decatur Development Authority by Monday, August 16 and they will be placed on the DBA table.
