Jarboe Celebrates Anniversary and Award
Jim Jarboe is celebrating his 20th anniversary as a realtor with ReMax Executives, Inc. He has also been named one of the Top 15 Producers of the DeKalb Board of Realtors. The board has more than 2,000 active agents and this is the fifth time Jim has been so honored.

Mingei Presents Thai-Burmese Event On Sunday, June 8, 1-4 p.m., Mingei World Arts teams with Cultural Cornerstones to present an event featuring a photo exhibit by Greg Scarbourough, recordings of music from the Karen hill-tribe people who live near the Thai-Burmese border, and the sale of Karen musical instruments. The Seen Gallery Hosts James Dean On Saturday, June 21, 7-10 p.m., artist James Dean presents a new body of work featuring Pete the Cat. The show will run through July 30. Rue de Leon Closes Decatur Store After four years, Rue de Leon is closing its physical door and opening a virtual one. Everything in the store must go and all merchandise is discounted by 25-50 percent. The sale runs through June 15. Rue de Leon is at 131 E. Ponce de Leon Ave. Wordsmiths Books Celebrates Anniversary On Saturday, June 14, 7:30 p.m., Wordsmiths Books will celebrate its one-year anniversary with an extravaganza featuring free food, drinks, music, a crawfish boil and more.
