DBA Events Calendar
Annual Welcome Reception at Agnes Scott College
August 21 • 5-6:30 p.m.
The Decatur Business Association hosts its annual Welcome for incoming freshman on the Woodruff Quadrangle in the center of campus near the gazebo. Participating DBA members should arrive at 4:30 to set up in time for the students. This year's class color is red, and there are approximately 260 students.
This event, a highlight of Orientation Weekend attended by students and their parents, offers DBA members a chance to showcase their specialties while welcoming these new students. The event is a marketing opportunity for you and we invite you to participate by setting up a display table, giving away discount coupons, etc. We ask that you do not offer items for sale.
We will give away 5-6 sampler baskets during the event. These baskets are filled with items from you such as gift certificates, t-shirts, umbrellas, pencils, notepads, etc. If you would like to contribute to the baskets, please send your items to the Decatur Downtown Development Office on the second floor of Decatur City Hall, 509 North McDonough St., by Wednesday, Aug. 11.
If you would like to set up a display at the event, you must reserve a table by Friday, Aug. 13. Contact Katie Abel at 678-553-6547, fax your reservation form to 404-370-4130, mail to Katie Abel, 231 Sycamore St, Decatur GA 30030, or email to Katie Abel. There is no charge to participate.
If you cannot attend the event but would like for your brochures to be distributed, please deliver them to the Decatur Development Authority by Monday, Aug. 17 and they will be placed on the DBA table.
