Hello, my name is Scott Drake and I am the Decatur Business Association 2010 president. Being a life-long resident of Decatur I have seen many changes over the past 30-plus years but I think the past two years have been very difficult, economically-speaking. I believe our community has done an excellent job in supporting our local businesses and striving to make our community the best it can be during a challenging period.

So we welcome 2010 with optimism and invite you to get involved with the Decatur Business Association. If you would like to join the DBA, attend our monthly meetings or just enjoy some of our events such as the Easter Egg Hunt on the square, Decatur Beach Party or the Concerts on the Square in May and September, we invite you to be a part of our organization and further our DBA goals: to serve as advocates for the business interests of the city and to promote Decatur as a unique, thriving, small-town experience in metro Atlanta.

Our meetings on Jan. 26 and Feb. 23 are open to non-members in our community so please take this opportunity to come out and visit with the Decatur Business Association and our members.
